Birth Control

Last night TaKara was in our bed because she wouldn't fall asleep in her's and we both thought she was completely out so Dale reached over to hold my hand...instantly TaKara flew up flung his arm back on his side of the bed laid back down and started snoring. Dale waited a few more minutes until he thought she was out cold and tried again...once again she sat straight up didn't say a word and put his hand on his chest. We were dying trying to control our laughter. That is true birth control right there!

Friends

Yesterday was such a nice day. We visited TaKara's friend Robyn and played. They are so cute. They play so well together. They had so much fun on the new tramp and the mowers. We spent most the day just playing outside.

Hugs

When we are some place TaKara has to hug everybody and tell them bye before we can go. But when we are home and are getting ready to run errands it is no different. She finds every stuffed animal and doll...gives them each a hug and a kiss...then waves good bye as walk out the door. I think it is adorable ;)

Prayer

Tonight when we got ready to bless dinner TaKara folded her arms, bowed her head, and sat in her booster seat so reverently. Then once I was done with the prayer she said Amen. It was so cute! She has done it ever since also. I guess we are better parents than we thought ;)

Binkie

Yesterday we lost TaKara's binkie. We looked everywhere for it (under the furniture, in the hamper, in the trash, in the board games, in the shoes, in our pockets, etc.). Luckily we found it in the desk cupboard where we keep the DVDs.

Today TaKara wasn't as lucky. We looked everywhere again and couldn't find it. She puts it in the door handle of the truck while we go to do chores so she doesn't get it dirty. We think that it fell out when the door got slammed. We have never seen it there though so it is still a mystery. It is a mum and last week she would take any kind so we tried a nuk. She did not want anything to do with it this time! She wouldn't go to bed so we watched a movie for about 10 minutes and she was out.

The next couple of night she would look under the couch and recliner then stand up and put her hands up in the air and say Ah Oh, shrug her shoulders, take Dale's hand and lead him into her bed and go to sleep. She hasn't even tried to take any other little kid's binkie like in the past.

We were going to take her binkie away any day so it worked out perfectly...the only thing that I miss about last week is she doesn't take her naps like she used to. She used to take a 3 hour nap in the morning and then another hour and a half nap in the afternoon. Now we are lucky to get an hour nap in after lunch. I guess she decided if I am too big for a binkie then I am too big for naps. She is growing up so fast I can't believe it!!!

SSSHHHHH!!!

TaKara has a new favorite game to play at the farm. It is called SSSHHHHH!!! How you play is you have to be really quiet. So you put your finger up to your mouth and whisper ssshhhhh. This is so adorable when TaKara does it. Then you sneak up to the new baby calves very slowly and calmly. Then once you get close you scream and wave your arms in the air. When they run away you laugh then look for you next victim. TaKara can do this the entire time we are doing chores. It makes chores go by a lot faster and funner. When TaKara isn't at chores her grandpa Taylor and Uncles are very disappointed.
